About

This blog documents the journey of one family’s relocation from Hollywood, California to the Japanese countryside. From personal thoughts and new experiences, to the challenges and a little insight into Japanese culture and our own culture-shock.

We also hope to showcase some of the lesser known, “off the beaten path” sites and locations of this area that may be unknown to the average tourist. Follow us as we meet new characters, from locals to other expat’s and learn more about their personal stories.

Can the fantasy of picking up and moving across the globe ever live up to the reality? Sign up for our newsletter to make sure stay involved with our adventures.
